I have a patient who is interested in taking chondrotin sulfate and glucosamine sulfate for her arthritis, but she states that she is sensitive to anything containing sulfates (even certain toothpastes) and that sulfates trigger an asthma like reaction. Ever hear of such a thing?

Thanks.

Jim:

Have your patient take Glucosamine hydrochloride AKA Glucosamine HCL. She will not have a problem with this form.
